Fly Fishing Video Magazine Vol. 56, Green River Cicadas DVD

By Jim & Kelly Watt

The Green River is 25 miles of world-class tailwater fishery that flows out of Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The trout on the Green, rainbows, browns, cutthroats and cuttbows have this very endearing quality of eating big flies. A habit that starts in mid June and continues through September. The Bug, that's mainly responsible for getting the trout turned on to big targets is the annual cicadas hatch. These are BIG tree hopper terrestials that occassionally fall into the water as they mature and mate.Trout Creek Outfitters are the folks that will take you down the Green in this DVD (see the description below to read about them). Exciting fishing on the Green River in late June with big dry flies. It doesn't get a whole lot better than that.
